Cliffs, road trips, and a sunset romance-- the perfect conditions for a surprise proposal.
Timothy reached out to us to help him plan Rachel's dream proposal while they would be on a road trip with friends from El Paso to different parts of Arizona. After reviewing some location ideas we decided Horseshoe Bend would be the best option for epic views and be family friendly.

During the trip Timothy put one of his friends in charge with all of the plans keeping everything they were doing a surprise for everyone, or so at least Rachel thought. Timothy fake-proposed to Rachel during their hike at the Grand Canyon to through off any guesses or hope of him popping the question during the trip.
The next day though, the real thing would happen!!

We met up with his parents and her parents before they arrived and walked them out to the exact spot he would propose hiding them behind rocks so they wouldn't be noticed, but could here when to come out to watch.
As they arrived my husband and I pretended to take portraits of each other, making it easy to spot us and to come up with us asking for a group photo all together. After the group photo all the friends stepped out and family gathered around to watch Tim propose!

Rachel was in complete shock! There were so many tears as it was very important to her that their families be there for this event and here they were 10 hours from their homes surprising her!
After the big YES, his parents blessed Rachel and Tim's marriage with a blessing. This was followed by toasts and celebration, before I swept them away for portraits of just the two of them in this incredible place and some time together to soak it all in!

We all hiked back to the cars together as they made dinner plans for the evening with everyone. It was truly a dream proposal, everything Rachel ever wanted filled with so much emotion and love from everyone around!
