This gorgeous elopement takes place at California's largest state park, Anza-Borrego Desert. These two brides make this gallery a must-see for anyone eloping to the beautiful Southwestern territory.
I had taken photos of Emma and Gracie a year prior and admired their connection. We set up this shoot to capture the scenic desert and unique Painted Ladder Canyon hike. We met in the desert and drove our all-wheel drives into the canyon.
The hike consisted of ladders and rock scrambling, which Emma and Gracie were new to. The challenge turned into an incredibly fun adventure for all of us. We found pockets of light streaming through the canyon walls and paused when we came across them. After the ladder canyon, we drove an hour to Font's Point, which overlooks a desert landscape similar to Death Valley.
We were stunned by how beautiful it looked during the golden hour. We busted out the lanterns and had some fun walking around the overlook. After the sun had set, we took our final shots at a ledge where the stars were beginning to illuminate our surroundings.
