Early Summer Grand Teton Wedding at Diamond Cross Ranch

This early summer Grand Teton wedding at Diamond Cross Ranch took place during the INCREDIBLY short Grand Teton wedding season for 2023. There were so many things that made this wedding special. Pairing that with the Tetons in the distance, and the "running of the horses" during their first kiss, created pure magic! After the wedding, they also spent a day adventuring around the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone encountering bison, mountain reflections, and even a SNOWBALL FIGHT (in June)!

Why Jackson Hole?

Noel and Joe wanted their wedding day to have a majestic, whimsical feel, with the Grand Tetons and nature taking center stage. They loved that their guests got to experience the natural beauty of the Tetons during the ceremony and reception. Nature is so important to both of them, and it was great to share that piece of their hearts. Jackson, Wyoming, and the surrounding national parks have always been a special place for Joe and Noel. Having traveled there to hike, relax, and vacation with friends and family every year since they met, they were thrilled to host their early summer Grand Teton wedding at Diamond Cross Ranch in the shadows of the Tetons!

Adding Personalization

The groom's family is originally from Greece and the bride's from Hawaii, so incorporating elements from both cultures was important to them. To honor the bride's culture, their cousin made and flew leis in from Hawaii for the wedding party and family to wear during the ceremony. For the groom's Greek culture, his god-parents made baklava for the wedding reception, and by tradition, white Jordan almonds were placed at every place setting at the tables. The groom's ring also has a traditional Greek design.

To add more personalization, a family member hand-made the dinner table signs. Instead of a traditional table number, each table was a national park that Noel and Joe had visited together. They also wanted the bouquets to feature a lot of the wildflowers one would find walking through a field in the Jackson Hole area. Speaking of flowers, Noel also wore a flower crown featuring the same wildflowers (a "haku lei"), again by her Hawaiian heritage and tradition. Their signature cocktails featured their dog, Nyxie, and her favorite hobby (squirrel chasing!). The groom's cufflinks were also custom-made replicas of their dog!

Advice to Other Couples

Joe and Noel shared this with future couples planning their weddings and elopements: “Make sure to take a step back and try your best to soak it all in while the wedding day is happening. It goes by incredibly fast but we are both thankful that we listened to friends and made sure to step back and watch our guests interact and have fun!”
