Planning a wedding day is both rewarding and challenging. Finding a way to relax after the last Chiavari chair is loaded into the rental truck is not something many couples think about, mostly because they don't realize they have options. Here are tips for what you should do to chill AFTER you tie the knot.
Getting married comes with plenty of ups and downs-- it's wonderful to see it come together, but most couples agree it can be quite stressful. Sometimes the thing you really want when all the rentals have packed up and gone is to relax and destress. But what does that look like? Hot tub? Sleep in till noon? Couples yoga? Well, if you live in Southern Utah, you have some great options.
To all readers meeting Maria Simpson of Make a Scene Events for the first time, she's a Utah-based event planner who lives to create an experience for her clients. She coordinates all the pieces needed to provide couples with luxury picnics, dinner parties, private yoga, and more. We asked her a few questions about what couples can expect when booking with her and what hidden gems they can look forward to the day after their wedding.
Q. When Couples Book a Luxury Picnic, What Can They Expect?
"Our luxury picnics are custom created each time to coordinate beautifully with the landscape and preferred color concepts of our clients. But they are also functional and comfortable. Every detail is thought out. Couples (or groups) sit down to a variety of delicious foods and playful flavors. For couples, we provide additional pillows and blankets so they can sit back afterward, snuggle, and take in the view."

Q. What's something you recommend every bride does after the big day?
"Wedding days are primed for excitement, anxiety, and grand expectations—even if you are eloping. We offer couples yoga and/or massages with our luxury picnics to give you a chance to slow down and reconnect with each other. Book a package the morning of your big day to set the tone or the morning after to reset and renew, starting your new life together with increased intention."

Q. How about the food? What can couples expect?
"Great flavors, beautiful presentation, and a variety of options to please every guest. We pride ourselves on our food and have built a strong reputation for quality and aesthetics, as well as providing delicious vegan and vegetarian options, keeping our clients coming back again and again."
We're thankful to Maria for taking a moment to help our Southwestern-bound couples find ways to relax after the big day. Nothing makes us happier than knowing our ZB couples have the resources needed to enjoy their adventure of getting hitched and even relaxing when it's all over. Whether you're headed to Zion, Moab, Joshua Tree, Sedona, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, or Big Sur, congratulations on your engagement and we wish you all the best from Zion Brides!
