Alyssa and Cody decided to ditch tradition and have the adventure elopement of their dreams in the redwoods of Northern California. They traveled all the way from the east coast to say "I do" amongst these incredible trees and had an incredible elopement day exploring the forest and the coastal areas.
Alyssa and Cody decided to ditch tradition and have the adventure elopement of their dreams in the redwoods of Northern California. They traveled all the way from the east coast to say "I do" amongst these incredible trees and had an incredible elopement day exploring the forest and the coastal areas.
They began their incredible day by getting ready in their adorable forest bungalow, with Alyssa having her hair and makeup professionally done while Cody spent time outside writing his vows. After they were both done getting ready, they had a sweet first look in the forest behind their bungalow where Alyssa helped put the boutonniere on Cody's lapel. They then headed out on the drive to their ceremony location!
Alyssa and Cody enjoyed a short hike before settling into a little nook in the gorgeous redwood grove where they exchanged vows, rings, and said "I do". After taking some photos and walking a bit more, they headed back to the car and went on their way to their next adventure: Fern Canyon. At Fern Canyon, they changed shoes and Cody rolled up his pants to prepare for a fun river adventure while exploring the canyon.
They hopped across logs and across the river bed, laughing and taking in the gorgeous scenery around them. Once their feet were cold and the sun started to make its way closer to the horizon, they went back to their bungalow to pick up some treats for their sunset on the beach. When Cody and Alyssa arrived at the beach, they walked along, soaking in the golden sunlight upon them.
They enjoyed a first dance to the sound of waves crashing before finding a spot for their picnic of cheesecake and champagne. Before wrapping up their elopement day, they took a few final photos during blue hour with fun lanterns, exploring the beach just a little more. It was the perfect way to end an incredible elopement day in Northern California!
