As we set out on the trail to Horseshoe Bend that morning, with just the hint of sunrise on the horizon, none of us could have predicted the magic the whole day would hold. Page, Arizona is home to some truly remarkable energy, landscapes, and opportunities to experience adventure at its best (and experience it, we did!).

The styling of the day was originally inspired by the effortless bohemian feel of Jane Birkin’s wedding dress from the 1960’s. That classic feel, paired with vintage stained glass elements and a warm color palette, and then infused with our own unique brand of wild, created something really unique and special.

Amanda and David’s story is anything but ordinary.
From childhood friends to lifetime adventure partners, they have turned their love for exploring into a lifestyle- living full time and traveling the country in an RV they’ve renovated together. Their magnetic connection is evident in every shot, and the entire crew on board for this styled adventure got a glimpse into the beautiful crazy life they’ve built together.

A sunrise walk led to morning coffee on the cliff sides, overlooking the breathtaking views of Horseshoe Bend. From there, the crew set out on what they thought would be a short hike to experience the slot canyons of Buckskin Gulch.

However, the thing about adventures like this is that you always have to be prepared to adapt to the unexpected! Misinterpreted directions turned what should have been a fairly easy three mile trip into a much longer one, eleven miles when it was all said and done! We lost track of how many times someone said “it’s got to be just around that corner up there, right?!”
Despite the delay of game, the longer trek gave all of us the opportunity to get to know a little more about how David and Amanda connected. You felt the hairs on your arm stand up when Amanda shared that she really believes David “saved her,” after he reached out unexpectedly while she was grieving the loss of her mom in 2009. David recalled that “something just told him he needed to call her that day,” and 12 years later they’ve still got each other’s backs.

Eventually the trail finally did give way to that “last” corner, and everyone got to soak in the stellar arched rock formations and slot canyons we’d come in search of. Next up, a stop at David and Amanda’s stylish RV to change, recharge on 5 Hour Energy, and glam up our bride led us on a mad dash to catch one of the biggest surprises of the day...
The crew had planned an impromptu helicopter ride over Lake Powell for the couple
and they had no idea it was coming!

“Flying high” off the adrenaline from their ride over some of the most scenic spots in Arizona, our couple met in front of a custom stained-glass altar to renew their commitment to one and other and share dessert as the sun set on the horizon behind.
From beginning to end the day was pure magic...
...and something no one who was lucky enough to be 100% immersed in the experience that day will soon forget.
