Spencer & Alma began their Mt Rainier National Park inspiration elopement at the Sunrise location of the park. Despite the moody PNW weather, having an early start (sunrise) was still a great plan as they had many areas to themselves without other hikers passing by. They hiked to a specific overlook area where they were able to do the finishing touches of getting ready before their first look at the trail. After sharing some sweet moments, they enjoyed all of the mountain views before looping back as they made their way to the ceremony location.

This day was all about enjoying the location, the beautiful views, and time together. This meant a few short hikes and overlooks before they arrived at the chosen ceremony location. The sun also began to peak through the clouds during their ceremony leaving them with beautiful sunshine to enjoy throughout the remainder of their experience.

Are you dreaming of eloping at Mt. Rainier?
Here is a quick glimpse of steps to take for your elopement day:

1. Select a weekday date from Mid to Late July – early October for the best accessibility within the park.

2. Reach out to your dream elopement photographer (I would love to be considered!) who can provide planning assistance and more for your unique day.

3. Reach out to Mt. Rainier National Park Rangers to apply for a Special Use Permit to have your ceremony within the park. (Allow at least 4 weeks for processing but this can easily take longer.)

4. Plan your day with your available ceremony location in mind (as designated by the park) and incorporate your favorite activities into your dream day!

5. And finally, after months of preparing – enjoy your day while following Leave No Trace Principles at Mt. Rainier!
