Planning a wedding is difficult, I think we all know that. But planning a wedding from far away can be a nightmare! You will likely need help to make your vision come to life!
So now the next question is, do you hire a wedding planner or a wedding coordinator? And what is the difference?
Wedding Planner
A Wedding PLANNER duties are intricate, time sensitive, and require an organizational mind and attention to detail. They will be with you during the planning process, give you full access to top wedding vendors and venues in your area through their own connections, make phone calls on your behalf, help you set up tastings or alteration appointments, negotiate vendor contracts on your behalf, plan and coordinate all logistics and timeline needs & execute them seamlessly by holding all vendors accountable to their own duties.
Planners also typically help you design your event to get that dream look you've always wanted. If sticking to a budget is important to you, the MOST important aspect of having a planner will be to help you set a budget and STICK TO IT. On top of these skill sets, most planners will also do everything a wedding coordinator does (see below).

Wedding Coordinator
A Wedding / Day of Coordinator specializes in logistics and crisis management. Their involvement with the planning process will consist of recommending vendors, answering questions you may have, and being there on your big day to ensure your timeline is executed with precision and ease.

The typical Day of Coordinator will not have much input in design, or involvement with the actual planning process. They will serve as the point person for all vendors involved with your wedding and allow you and your family to ENJOY your day.
This is a GREAT option if you want to do all the planning and just need someone to execute those plans, ensuring you aren't WORKING your own wedding.
With this information, you will be able to make the best decision of who to have by your side on your big day! Looking for a planner? Look no further, here are our top picks near Zion National Park.
